1.) Reason to Breathe: Volume 1 by Rebecca Donovan
This book starts off as looking like a normal teen love story, but it's not. It's a story about a teen dealing with abuse in her life. I can't say I completely understand this subject, and that's exactly why I'd like to read into the subject... Starting with this book. There's more to it than just "love".
2.) Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
This is a love story gone bad. A newly wedded couple are still gettting used to being wedded, when the wife goes missing. Many people think that the husband is to blame, but there's no proof that he did anything. The husband is very odd, so if you were a very judgemental person, you'd probably think he was to blame. I want to read this book honestly, so, I can find out how she went missing.
3.) Idiot America: How Stupidity Became a Virtue in the Land of the Free by Charles P. Pierce
A grumpy veteran talks about the glorification of ignorance he thinks is in the Unites States today. I'd like to read this book to understand his thoughts, and where they're coming from. I think I'll get a kick out of it, because the title itself made me laugh.
4.) Rules for Virgins by Amy Tan
A startling sensual fiction tale on an aging master instructing her young beauty. I usually wouldn't care about reading tales, but this is just caught my eye for some reason. It sounds like a book I could just read over and over again, because it's about inner beauty.
5.) Uglies by Scott Westerfield
Is about an alternate universe where people are kept "ugly" until eighteen years of age. Then, they get plastic surgery, to make them into beautiful creates. I want to read this book, because it sounds interesting, and many people have told me to read it.
6.) Child Called It by Dave Delzer
This book seems so sad! It's a touching story about a child that gets abused by his mother. It's a child's courage to survive. I'll probably be way more thankful after reading this book. I want to read it for that reason.
7.) Flipped by Wendelin Van Drannen
A girl is obsessed with a boy when he moves in her neighborhood during their second grade year. She still has a crush on him when she gets into ninth grade, but she starts to wonder if he's what she's always wanted to believe he was. Now, he's starting to think about her, and that maybe she's not an annoying littel girl anymore. I want to read this book because love drama is always interesting.
8.) Pretties by Scott Westerfield
Is the second book in the series of Uglies. There's a lot more action and sneaking around than in Uglies. Some people realize that they do not want the surgery, and they'll do what it takes to make sure they aren't forced to get it. I want to read this book because I lack in self confidence and maybe I can learn a thing or two.
9.) Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks
A romantic novel that is set in the mid-late 1900s. Garrett puts a message in a bottle for the woman he has lost, that he still loves. The message is supposed to bring them back together, after all the bad things they have beent through. I enjoy romantic books like this, so I want to read it.
10.) The Memory of Running by Ron McLarty
Smithy rides across America on a bicycle. He physically transforms himself from an overweight boozy slob, to a perfection of fitness. I want to read this book to at least push myself to run more than I do. I'm starting to lack off in exercise, since school has started.
